Question:
I cannot wait to be done with all the test taking and checkrides that are involved with my ratings. I look forward to just flying and living my schedule with a major airline. Am I thinking right?
Answer: Well there is a ton of studying to do to get to your goal, unfortunetly it does not end there once you make it to the major airlines. You will have to do a recurrent training every year depending on your airlines structure plus there is always new materials and new procedures to be reviewed. This does not include the basic training (indoc) that you go through when you first get hired and assigned an aircraft training slot. So to make a long story short, you will always be doing some sort of test taking and studying.
